My Story
My education and work experience is spread throughout the Middle East, Europe, and the US and forms my multi-cultural and cross-disciplinary expertise.
I hold a Ph.D. from the University of the Sorbonne (Paris) with the highest distinction (summa cum laude), and I am the author of a book published by the university press of the Sorbonne about women, power, and authority in a text composed by the renowned author known as the "Father of English Literature:" Geoffrey Chaucer. I specialize in an era when rhetoric and the skill of constructing arguments and reason (dialectical) were the most important elements in education: the Middle Ages. Studying in France allowed me to practice communication in writing both in English and French languages at the highest level.
Before that, I studied journalism in Tel-Aviv and have worked as a journalist, freelancing throughout the years (Ynet, Lady Globes, Ma’ariv) including a most recent article published in 2022 by one of the leading Israeli newspapers "Yediot Aharonot America."
After moving to New York City in 2000, I launched a career in research, public speaking at the Ivy League, and as an involved speaker to 30+ universities. My time in NYC includes academic positions at New York University (NYU), Fordham University, Columbia University, Hunter College (CUNY), and Rutgers University.
That followed a move to Miami (Florida) with leadership and academic positions at Ransom Everglades Upper School, Lynn University, and Florida International University (FIU).
I continued to publish between 2009 and 2017 while working as a Co-Editor of a peer-reviewed academic publication "Medieval Perspectives" along with intradepartmental material development.
In 2018, I earned a certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. That followed in 2019 a role as a founding member of DEI at Ransom Everglades Upper School where I created programs for nationally renowned speakers (see Forbes interview about my perspective on DEI).
I continued to publish between 2009 and 2017 while working as a Co-Editor of a peer-reviewed academic publication "Medieval Perspectives" along with intradepartmental material development.
In 2021 I studied Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and earned a certification as an NLP therapist in order to apply neurological processes, and linguistic and behavioral patterns learned through experience in order to accomplish the highest results.
The combination of my academic training, certification, and research I conducted while traveling in South America, the Middle East, Europe, and the US lead to the formation of the Shatnez- Method.
As a trilingual academic (English, Hebrew, and French), I wrote, collaborated, and spoke in these three languages. Then after learning Spanish and living in Miami for the last 20 years, Spanish is now also a valuable skill set—and becoming a necessity more than ever.
The combination of my abilities to conduct research on the highest levels, speak fluently and write in multiple languages, collaborate, and lead teams, all contribute to my role as an effective communicator, with multicultural and ethnic diversity skills.
As a citizen of the world, throughout the years I collaborated in writing articles, curriculums, and textbooks with teams of multidisciplinary experts. All of the above diverse array of experience, multicultural and broad comprehension of languages make me an effective strategic communicator.
I am a curious critical thinker, problem solver, and a creative, passionate, and truthful individual with the highest level of work ethic and loyalty. As a catalyzer, I am deeply committed to my role as a leader and manager of accelerated complex changes that produce inclusive communities, greater engagement, and diversity in workplaces.l skills and innate characteristics can be pinpointed to two main traits: being authentic and empathetic. That is what supports the over 25 years of experience of proven international success as a team player, leader, author, public speaker, and researcher.
All my endeavor is geared towards helping people achieve excellency suited to whom they want to be while feeling the joy of life with a purpose.
